As we get ready to rework our show Border Remixeado for our upcoming 2010 tour, a reminder of reality: this was found wrapped around a cellphone in a pile of objects left behind by migrants near Logan’s house in Southeastern Arizona. It reads:

“llege al otro lado le prometo a mis hijas y esposa mucho billete verde gracias dios mio por cuidar mi camino. diciembre 2009 celso ramirez peña †”

“I arrived to the other side I promise to my daughters and my wife lots of green bills thank you my god for protecting my journey. december 2009 celso ramirez peña †“

Ey locos, ¡happy 2010! We rang in the year with a Sonidero Verbobala performance in the historic mining town of Bisbee, Arizona at a city-wide celebration. And then just a few nights later we were in the north of the state for another danceparty in Jerome at the infamous (and haunted) Spirit Room.

We have big things in store for 2010, including a return to the Bowery Poetry Club in New York City in March, followed by a residency and performance at Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americano in San Jose, California. Also look out for installation / performance collaborations in Phoenix and spoken video in Tucson. Keep your eye on the website and our Facebook page for updates as time goes on.
