This here is the first-ever Verbobala email list blast. Hope it finds you happy. We’re in Tucson, getting ready to debut an entirely new hour-long piece on Saturday, called “NOBODY SPEAKS.” Ayisha Knight-Shaw (the only deaf poet ever featured on Def Poetry Jam!) is opening and we’ll be performing with Flam Chen (pyrotechnic theater company).

Moisés’ visa application is still offically “pending,” but now with the sponsoring performance only 24 hours away, it has basically recieved a de facto rejection. Given the situation we’ve had to rewrite most of NOBODY SPEAKS over the past week. Moi is still participating thanks to digital video and the internet. Vivan las nuevas tecnologias!

Merch news: Verbobala DVD’s will be back onsale tomorrow in Tucson, along with brand-new hand-screened t-shirts. The DVD’s are now for sale online, through PoetCD.com, which is run by friends and 100% trustworthy.
